6 Days Northern Tanzania Safari Expeditions

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Start with a pick up from your hotel/ airport. The excursion embarks on a journey to Tarangire National Park for an extensive game drive, complete with a picnic lunch amidst the park's breathtaking landscapes. Tarangire is renowned for its vast elephant population and iconic baobab trees, serving as the focal point for an annual migration spectacle, featuring a staggering 3,500 elephants, 35,000 wildebeest, and 35,000 zebras. Enjoy a full day immersed in the park's natural splendor, and as the late afternoon approaches, return to your lodge or campsite for a sumptuous dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Tarangire to Serengeti

Following an early breakfast, our journey takes us towards the Serengeti National Park, traversing the picturesque highland terrain of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. As we bid farewell to the highlands, we gradually descend into the heart of Africa's wildlife haven – the Serengeti National Park. Here, expansive plains stretch endlessly into the horizon, creating a breathtaking panorama as far as the eye can discern. Our destination within the park is the central Seronera area, renowned as one of the most abundant wildlife habitats in the entire park. This region boasts the Seronera River, a vital water source that beckons a diverse array of wildlife, representing many of the Serengeti's species.

We'll reach this area in time for lunch and indulge in an afternoon game drive, immersing ourselves in the natural wonders of the Serengeti National Park. Dinner and overnight at the lodge or campsite.

Day 3: Serengeti Full day

Following breakfast, indulge in a full-day safari within the park, where a plethora of wildlife awaits. Serengeti derives its name from the Maasai language, signifying "endless plain." As such, it serves as the habitat for a wide array of animals, including lions, elephants, giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, leopards, cheetahs, warthogs, hyenas, and an abundance of bird species. Serengeti is also famous for its spectacular annual migration, during which millions of wildebeests and zebras intermingle, closely trailed by predators. Conclude your day with dinner and an overnight stay at the Serengeti Tented Camp or lodge of your choice.

Day 4: Serengeti to Ngorongoro

After breakfast, check out of the hotel and drive towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You shall kick off to a morning game drive, where you might spot wild animals such as: Lions on hunt, Hyenas scavenging a carcass, Giraffes, Migratory wildebeest, Plain zebras, among other herbivores roaming on the savannah grassland. 1230hrs.You shall check in to a hotel for lunch and refreshment. You shall relax for 2 hours before resuming back for an evening game drive. 1430hrs. You shall check out of the hotel and be transferred to Olduvai Gorge pre-historic site, where remains of the old man have been preserved dating millions of years. You shall learn how man evolved till present. You will also have a chance to to see the art crafts used for hunting, making fire, defense among others. 1600hrs. You shall check out of Olduvai Gorge pre-historic site and kick off to an evening game drive, where you might spot wild animals such as: Rhinos, Buffaloes, Leopards, African wild dogs and bird species such as: The Kori bustand, Ostriches, Secretary birds, Crown Crane, Vultures, Hornbills and plant species such as : Acacia, Euphobia, Cactus, Shrubs, among others. 1800hrs.You shall be transferred back to the hotel where you shall check in and prepare for tomorrow’s departure to Arusha.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

After breakfast you will descend into the crater for a wonderful crater tour with a picnic lunch inside the Ngorongoro Crater often described as one of the wonders of the world a designated Unesco World Heritage; It is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and a natural sanctuary for some of Africa’s densest animal populations. It is one of the few places where the rare black rhino can be observed in their natural setting. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft. high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds and other species. With a bit of luck the ‘Big Five’ can be spotted during one game drive only. Then late afternoon drive back to Arusha for overnight at hotel.

6 Day: Departure Day

After breakfast at leisure, afterwards transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport outbound flight.
