3 Days Masai Mara
National Reserve 4x4 Jeep Safari

3 Days 2 Nights Masai Mara Jeep Safari

Masai Mara, located in southwestern Kenya, is one of Africa's most famous and iconic wildlife reserves. Spanning around 1,510 square kilometers (583 square miles), it forms part of the larger Serengeti ecosystem and is renowned for its exceptional biodiversity, including the Big Five (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhinoceros). The Masai Mara is particularly famous for the annual wildebeest migration, a dramatic spectacle where millions of wildebeests, zebras, and other herbivores cross the Mara River in search of fresh grazing grounds. This natural phenomenon, often referred to as the "Great Migration," attracts tourists from around the world. Visitors can enjoy game drives, hot air balloon safaris, and cultural interactions with the Masai people who inhabit the region. The Masai Mara is a quintessential destination for experiencing Africa's wilderness and witnessing its incredible wildlife in action.

Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara

HPick up from your hotel at 7:30 am where you will start your safari to Masai Mara. The journey from Nairobi to Masai Mara is a popular and breathtaking adventure in Kenya, offering travelers the opportunity to experience the country's diverse landscapes and wildlife. The journey typically takes around 5 to 6 hours by road. Then proceed to Narok, a small Masai town well known for having the most beautiful souvenirs. Proceed to Masai Mara for lunch at the permanent tented camp/ Lodge, followed by an afternoon game viewing to see the many animals that inhabit this unique park. Return to the camp for dinner and overnight at your booked lodge/ camp.

Day 2: Masai Mara Full Day

A full day in Masai Mara promises an exciting and immersive safari experience with diverse wildlife, stunning landscapes, and memorable activities. Your day begins with an early wake-up call, usually before sunrise. This is to maximize your chances of spotting wildlife when they are most active. After breakfast, you experienced Grayton Expedition driver guide will be waiting for you in your customized safari vehicle for a full day of adventure. This is an excellent time to witness predators on the hunt, as well as to see various herbivores like zebras, wildebeests, and giraffes. As the sun rises over the savannah, you'll have opportunities to spot the Big Five, which include lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, and rhinoceros. You may also see cheetahs, hyenas, and a wide range of bird species. If you visit during the Great Migration (usually from July to October), you might witness the dramatic river crossings of wildebeests and zebras at the Mara River. This is a spectacle you won't forget. Back at your accommodation, you'll have dinner, which is often a buffet or a set menu featuring both local and international cuisine. After a full day of adventure, you'll retire to your comfortable room or tent for a well-deserved night's rest, listening to the sounds of the African wilderness.

Day 3: Masai Mara/Nairobi

Today being your last day of safari, you will wake up at leisure and enjoy a relaxed breakfast. Later on, check out of the hotel and depart to Nairobi but not before an optional cultural visit to a nearby Masai Village visit. These stops provide insights into the local culture and allow you to purchase souvenirs. You will arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon marking the end of your adventurous safari. Depending on your plans, you may be dropped off at your hotel, the airport, or another specified location in the city.
