1: Nairobi – Lake Nakuru National Park

3-Hour Drive Meals: Lunch, Dinner
At 7:30 am, ensure your safari gear is packed for an exhilarating 10-day wildlife adventure! Your Grayton Expeditions driver/guide will arrive in a private 4 x 4 Land Cruiser Jeep.Hop aboard as we journey through the Great Rift Valley, featuring dramatic escarpments. Arriving at Lake Nakuru Park by late morning, take in the lake and its surrounding acacia forests. The park is a delightful mix of water birds, including occasional flamingoes, and hosts rhinos at a special sanctuary. Keep an eye out for lions, zebra, giraffe, warthog, and a diverse array of species. As evening falls, retire to our safari lodge or tented camp to relax, savor dinner, and reflect on our first day's journey.

Day 2: Lake Nakuru National Park – Masai Mara National Reserve

6 - 7 Hour Drive Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Embrace safari time by starting early with a game drive around the park to witness animals and birdlife emerging in the soft light of the new day.

After breakfast, proceed to the Masai Mara, making rest and scenic stops along the way. Upon arrival, check in at your new accommodation to freshen up or head straight for your first game drive on the park’s rolling hills.

Adorning the landscape are Africa’s distinctive acacia trees, adding more texture to this incredible park. Wildlife is abundant, with over 95 species of mammals calling these Mara lands home.

As the sun sets, revel in one of the park’s glorious displays, and know you have arrived at a truly special place. Return to our Mara accommodation for a relaxing evening.

Day 3: Full Day at the Masai Mara National Reserve

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
Embark on early morning unlimited game drives. The Masai Mara is renowned for its numerous prides of lions, cheetah, buffalo, antelope, hyena, and more.

To maximize our time on the savannah, bring along a picnic lunch and perhaps enjoy it down at the Mara River. This site hosts the crossing of wildebeests and zebras from neighboring Serengeti—a dramatic spectacle where predators meet grazers. Look for crocodiles in the river as well as various big cats.

Enhance your safari with optional activities: Visit a nearby Maasai village to broaden your cultural horizons, or opt for a hot air balloon safari over the park—an unforgettable experience at dawn. Conclude the evening at our Mara accommodation, enjoying a delicious meal while swapping stories of the day.

Day 4: Masai Mara National Reserve – Serengeti Game Reserve

6-Hour Drive Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Today, our safari crosses borders into Tanzania at the town of Isebania.

Part of the same ecosystem as the Masai Mara, the Serengeti boasts vast plains devoid of trees but teeming with rich wildlife, possibly even more lions.

Arriving in time for an afternoon game drive, acquaint yourself with the look, feel, and "vibe" of the Serengeti. This is where millions of wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle calve before heading to the Masai Mara. Relax and dine at our Serengeti lodge or tented camp.

Day 5: Full Day Serengeti Game Reserve

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Embark on a day of exploration across the vast Serengeti, spotting lions, cheetah, zebra, giraffe, eland, klipspringer, gazelle, warthog, and even hippo!

Set your safari pace—choose morning, afternoon, or full-day game viewing. Depending on the season, witness wildebeests and zebras calving in January/February. In the following months, observe the young as they are raised in preparation for the annual Great Migration from July to October, crossing to the Masai Mara.

In the evening, relax and share stories at our Serengeti accommodation.

Day 6: Serengeti Game Reserve – Ngorongoro Crater

3 – 4 Hour Drive Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
An exciting day awaits! Rise early for another Serengeti game drive as we exit the reserve and head to the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, the world's largest intact volcanic caldera.

Hold on tight as our 4 x 4 takes us down the steep crater walls, immersing us in this magical expanse of green landscapes hosting every kind of wildlife, from lions to pink flamingoes.

Lunch offers a chance to watch hippos at one of the park’s lakes while keeping an eye out for rhinos, buffalo, elephants, and, of course, the big cats.

Towards late afternoon, head back to the caldera's edge to witness an African sunset illuminating the rim. Then, settle into our Ngorongoro safari lodge or tented camp for dinner and rest.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater -Tarangire Park

3-Hour Drive Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
Recall last night's spectacular sunset? Rise early to witness an equally breathtaking sunrise at the crater’s rim!

Next, venture to Tarangire National Park, a small yet beautiful reserve. An afternoon game drive awaits, seeking out the park’s signature massive elephant herds. Tarangire is also renowned for its wildlife migration, with over 250,000 animals entering the park.
Spend the evening at our Tarangire accommodation.

Day 8: Tarangire Park – Amboseli Park

5 -6 Hour Drive Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
As per safari tradition, rise early for a bird-filled game drive. Post breakfast, head to our final park, Amboseli, crossing back into Kenya at the border town of Namanga.
Amboseli, Kenya’s second most popular park, boasts the snow-capped majesty of Mt. Kilimanjaro as its backdrop and is home to countless herds of magnificent elephants. Their constant presence ensures guaranteed sightings.

As evening approaches, the typical cloud covering Kilimanjaro’s summit may dissipate, revealing the mountain’s breathtaking peak.

Spend our 8th Safari evening at our Amboseli lodge or tented camp.

Day 9: Full Day at Amboseli Park

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
The park is especially attractive in the early morning, so seize the day with our first game drive. While focusing on elephants, the park may also present sightings of lions, cheetah, buffalo, wildebeest, gazelle, monkeys, and many rare birds.

Pause at Observation Hill to take in the diverse landscapes and wildlife in all directions. With luck, catch another glimpse of Kilimanjaro’s snowy peak towards the evening. On our last safari night, relax and dine at our Amboseli accommodation.

Day 10: Amboseli Park – Nairobi

4-Hour Drive Meals: Breakfast, Lunch
As seasoned safari-goers, rise early for a pre-breakfast game drive searching for elephants, lions, gazelle, antelope before later driving back to Nairobi where you will be dropped at the airport or hotel marking the end of your safari.
